Penne with beef strips ingredients:
3 cup penne or rigatoni pasta, uncooked
1 lbs beef stir-fry or inside round steak, cut into thin strips
2 tsp canola oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, cut into strips
2 tsp dried basil
2 tsp oregano or thyme
4 medium tomatoes, chopped
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Cook pasta in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small skillet over medium heat, add canola oil and beef. Cook for 1 – 2 minutes. Add garlic, onion, green pepper, basil and oregano to skillet. Cook 2 minutes longer, until beef is no longer pink. Add tomatoes and ground pepper, and cook 1 – 2 minutes more, until hot.
Drain pasta and toss with beef mixture. Garnish with parmesan cheese.
